What are these walks about?
By the river, in the park, on a tree in your neighbourhood — they're there. Most of us just look without really seeing. We hear without recognising. And somehow we keep missing something that could be one of the most enjoyable parts of the day.
I lead birdwatching walks around Kraków and the surrounding area — for complete beginners. You don't need binoculars, prior knowledge, or special gear. Just show up.
What to expect
We meet early in the morning — that's when birds are most active. We walk slowly, stopping at every interesting call or silhouette. Along the way I explain: what we're seeing, how to identify it, how that species lives.
Groups are small, the pace is relaxed, the atmosphere informal. There are no stupid questions.
Where and with whom
I organise walks in various formats and on different occasions — some in collaboration with OTOP (Polish Society for the Protection of Birds), others as part of events like Owl Night run by the Jestem na pTak! association. Sometimes we simply meet at dawn and go.
