About me

A software developer who swaps the keyboard for a camera after hours. I observe and photograph wildlife – mostly birds – in forests, by the water, in meadows, and wherever you can catch a glimpse of their lives.

Hi, I'm Paweł

I'm a software developer. I spend my days in front of a screen, writing code, solving problems that only exist in the digital world. And then I get up at four in the morning, pack my camera, and go listen to the forest wake up.

Birds have been part of my life since childhood — thanks to my dad, who took me out into the field and taught me how to look. Somewhere along the way adult life took over, but birds stayed somewhere in the background.

They came back suddenly. One white-tailed eagle at Ujście Warty* turned everything upside down — and I knew I wanted to come back to this for real. I started walking, observing, listening. After a while, just watching wasn't enough — I felt the need to document what I was seeing. I picked up a camera, returning in the process to another love from my youth: photography.

I keep learning and growing — in 2023 I became a member of the Polish Nature Photographers Association. But the most important thing is what I feel every time I head out into the field: that I'm doing something I dreamed of as a child and that I still can't get enough.

Somewhere along the way I discovered that what I need most is silence — and a reason to go out into it. Photography gave me both.
